For the Group Term Life Benefit, all employees are required to complete the Personal Health Declaration Form in any of the following circumstance(s):

i) All employees from a group size of less than 10 or any employee whose entry age is 65 (next birthday) and above are required to fill up a health questionnaire.

ii) Employees with Sum Assured exceeding the Free Cover Limit amount. Otherwise, no underwriting is required and the employees will be enrolled into this plan under auto acceptance, subject to eligibility.

You have to pay a pro-rated premium to enrol the new recruits under this plan after the Effective Date. If an employee resigns, you will receive a refund of the pro-rated premium.

Subject to the Company’s consent, you may change the benefit/plan for all employees at the same employment level only upon policy renewal/policy anniversary. Any change of benefit/plan due to movement between different employment levels is effective on the date of such movement.

An emergency is when immediate medical attention is required within twenty four (24) hours from the injury, illness or symptoms which are sudden and severe failing which, it will be life threatening (eg. accident and heart attack) or leads to significant deterioration of health.

Only “Annual” mode of payment is allowed.

Yes, “take-over” condition is applicable for Marsh SME Protector. A copy of your existing insurer’s Schedule of Benefits, Member Schedule, current and last 2 years' claims history are required for pre-approval take-over considerations.

The period of cover must continue from the last due date of the policy from the previous insurer before any take-over can be granted. However, we reserve the right to decline any take-over applications.

Yes. However, no benefit shall be payable for employees who are not Malaysian citizens residing or travelling outside of Malaysia for more than one hundred and eighty (180) consecutive days. For Hospital and Surgical benefit, if the employee chooses to or is referred to be treated outside Malaysia by the Attending Physician, benefits payable will be limited to the reasonable and customary and medically necessary charges for such equivalent local treatment in Malaysia and the cost of transportation to the place of treatment will be excluded.
