Critical Illness Coverage

MyCritical Cover offers 100% of the Basic Sum Assured (less any indebtedness) in the unfortunate event of being diagnosed with Cancer, Stroke, Heart Attack, or Kidney Failure. Say goodbye to financial worries and focus on your recovery.

Guardian Allowance Benefit

We understand that your loved ones' support is invaluable during tough times. That's why we provide an additional 10% of the Basic Sum Assured up to RM 5,000, as guardian allowance in the event of being diagnosed with any of the 4 critical illnesses to help reduce the mental and emotional stress your family may face. MyCritical Cover is a regular premium, yearly renewable critical illness plan which provides coverage for Cancer, Stroke, Heart Attack and Kidney Failure. This plan does not have any surrender value as it is a pure critical illness protection plan.

This plan offered to customers who would like to purchase a simple critical illness protection plan directly from MCIS Insurance Berhad via our branches.

This plan suits Malaysians aged 18 to 45 years old (age next birthday), in need of a pure Critical Illness protection plan.

The insurance coverage for this plan is up to the expiry age of 70 years old (age next birthday). As long as you pay the premiums required, you will remain covered until the expiry age.

You may choose to pay your premiums yearly, half-yearly, quarterly or on a monthly basis. Payments can be made via online banking and credit/debit card.

The minimum Basic Sum Assured is RM10,000 while the maximum Basic Sum Assured is RM250,000.

Premium is not guaranteed and MCIS Insurance Berhad reserve the rights to revise the premium payable by giving 30 days’ prior notice.

No, there are no riders attachable to MyCritical Cover.

Yes. You can surrender the policy at any time but no surrender value will be payable upon termination of the policy.

  1. Pre-existing illnesses.
  2. If the Critical Illness is diagnosed during the Waiting Period.
  3. Myocardial Infarction (heart attack) if the Life Assured had undergone a Coronary Bypass Surgery prior to the Issue Date or any reinstatement date of the plan.
  4. Injuries or illnesses caused by self-inflicted injury or duelling while sane or insane within thirteen (13) months from the Issue Date or any reinstatement date, whichever is later.
  5. Injuries or illnesses suffered during active participation in riot, strike or civil commotion, committing an unlawful act, by the hands of justice, willful misuse of alcohol, and taking of drugs not prescribed by a registered medical practitioner.
  6. Injuries or illnesses suffered from insurrection, war or invasion or any act incidental thereto (whether declared or not) or from aviation (except as an ordinary fare-paying passenger or crew member on a regular public air service) or gliding, motor racing, horse racing or submarine operations.

Yes, the following waiting period shall apply from the Issue Date or any reinstatement date, whichever is later:
  1. 60 days for Cancer and Heart Attack
  2. 30 days for Stroke and Kidney Failure

Yes, there is a survival period of 30 days following the diagnosis and confirmation of the critical illnesses.
